On Thursday, I went to Seoul to visit Chien.
I had a doctors appointment then went to see her after.
We had a very relaxing day and didn't do much. Visited a French neighborhood that was beautiful. We had lunch at a bistro and then hung out for a few hours at a French coffee shop.
It was pretty great.
On the way back, I needed to take a few shots on a bus. Go here for more information on that.
Anyway, it was an enjoyable day and relaxing. Just what was needed.
Joseph and I will plan a weekend in Seoul as soon as baby things are taken care of. We need a break soon.

Tea Party!
Time for tea.
Time for friends.
Time for yummy things to eat and fun conversations.
October 27, 2013. Tea Party.
Location: Emily's apartment
Time: 2-5pm
Emily and I threw a tea party. Some people we knew and some we didn't. Conversations about boys, husbands, boyfriends and how we met each other.
Yummy food.
Lots of laughs!
Thanks Emily for allowing us to have so much fun at your place!

Japanese Ramen
Our new neighborhood is pretty great in terms of food. We have the typical Korean BBQ and other Korean foods, we also found 2 restaurants that cater to Japanese Ramen. If you have had American ramen--it's crap. Korean ramen is pretty good but Japanese ramen is just a different taste all together. It's delicious.
It has that 5th flavor of taste and leaves you wanting more even when you are full.

Some Seoul
My schedule this semester has me free on Thursday's so I went to visit my buddy Chien. We had a pretty great time and even had some stamps made with our photo on them. We were pretty surprised.

Changes
Our first week in our new schools and our second full week in our new apartment.
Pretty nice.
The apartment is very small, but not as small as Ray and Chien's. No couple apartment is as small as theirs.
Our new jobs are pretty great. We have no reason to complain (yet).
Babies Are Us
Well, we are trying to have a baby.
Am I pregnant? No.
We are going to be doing IVF. For those of you unaware: In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).
Basically we have been trying to have a baby for almost 2 years and it wasn't working. Had some tests done and IVF is our only option.
Since we are Americans living in South Korea, this is a great idea for a blog because we don't know anyone else who has done this (foreigner completing IVF in South Korea).
We decided to blog about it in a separate blog. This information may come in handy for someone out there so we are blogging about the entire process.
All of the information we could find about foreigners having babies was more about the paperwork after the baby is born and where to find maternity clothes and only then, in Seoul. Well, Korea isn't only about Seoul.
Check out our Baby Blog and follow the adventure. When things happen, we'll write it up. Injections, bruises, cravings...all of it.
Also, if you have gone through this please tell us. We need some support over here. Researching about it online only goes so far. No crazies need apply.

Wando, South Korea
The Beach!!
A real Beach. :-)
We miss the beaches in Florida and we have found that the East coast of Korea replicates these nicely. Although, the temperature of the water less so; it's cold!!
After Joseph and I hiked Daedunsan mountain on Wednesday, we took the KTX train south to Gwangju to visit Kate. We stayted the night at her amazing apartment--the bathroom alone was worth the trip! Then, early the next morning we awoke and hoofed it to the bus station to hop a bus 2 hours south to Wando.
Wando. A slow city/town and quite out of the way of everything. An island connected to a few other islands by either bridges or ferry.
Kate, Joseph, and I stayed on the island of Sinji and enjoyed doing nothing. Just laying on the beach and relaxing.
As soon as we arrived at the island, Sinji, we got a room to drop our stuff. Hotels/hostels in Korea come in two varieties: Korean and Western. We opted for Korean style this go around because there were three of us and the price was cheaper.
Korean style hotel means you sleep on the floor. Not bad as there are usually thick mats to sleep on and it is
actually quite comfortable. Not this go around. We literally slept on the floor. Not bad, but not likely to be repeated in the future.
We enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to go on our next trip.
